For this project, I created a proposal for the local San Diego company, Vuori. After conducting thorough research on the company and its competitors, I developed several marketing strategies tailored to their needs. I'm particularly proud of this project because it was a bold move for me to not only highlight their strengths but also to address areas for improvement. This project was a fun and exciting journey for me as it allowed me to showcase my marketing talents, tap into my creative side, and express my love for the company.
Additionally, I had the honor of submitting this project to the American Marketing Association's Sandie Awards, where it earned a spot among the finalists.
As I've previously mentioned, I am always on the lookout for opportunities that broaden my horizons and deepen my knowledge. After transferring schools, I eagerly joined the Marketing Club at Point Loma Nazarene University. It wasn't long before I assumed a leadership role within the club. One of our proudest achievements came when we received an honorable mention in a national competition, standing out among submissions from 200 other schools. This recognition was particularly remarkable considering our chapter had only been established for two years.
In this project, I played a crucial role in managing the team and effectively communicating our campaign strategies to club members. Additionally, I spearheaded the research efforts that underpinned our creative ideas, ensuring our campaign was both innovative and grounded in solid data.
In my marketing research class, we developed a research campaign aimed at addressing a pressing issue. Our focus was on post-graduates struggling to find a sense of community after finishing school. I thoroughly enjoyed this project because it allowed me to empathize deeply with our target audience, putting myself in their shoes. My empathetic nature and passion for event planning really came into play here.
To tackle the problem, we conducted both primary and secondary research to ensure our strategies were well-informed and effective. Based on our findings, we proposed partnering with San Diego Magazine to host events for post-graduates in the San Diego area. The goal was to foster connections among individuals facing similar challenges, helping them build a supportive community.
Born and raised in San Diego, I've always been the go-to person for everything from relationship advice to the best spots to eat and explore in our city. Inspired by this role, I decided to create a blog tailored to enhance every visitor's experience, depending on who they're exploring with. My love for music also plays a big part in the blog—I've crafted playlists perfect for any car ride, whether you're with your best friend, dad, mom, or anyone else.
Working on this project was incredibly fun because I have a passion for website design and I'm always eager to learn new skills, like mastering WordPress. Though it was a bit challenging to get everything set up initially, it's been incredibly rewarding to share my website with others. It’s especially a thrill to show it to those who know just how tricky WordPress can be.
Additionally, I had the honor of submitting this project to the American Marketing Association's Sandie Awards, where it earned a spot among the finalists.
